McKin Health proudly sponsors the McKin Health Trailblazer Award.

This Award was incepted in acknowledgement of the career contributions made by trailblazer Gail Hawke, who made a positive impact on NSWOC and the specialized care of wound, ostomy and continence patients.   

 

The recipient of this financial award is selected based upon specific criteria including being a recent graduate of the Nurses Specialized in Wound, Ostomy and Continence Canada (NSWOCC) Wound Ostomy Continence Education Program (WOD-EP) and demonstrating leadership in the tri-specialty of wound ostomy and continence nursing.  It is administered by the NSWOCC in cooperation with an awards advisory committee.

Ashley's impact extends beyond the confines of her clinical practice, as she has emerged as a beacon of knowledge and support for clients with ostomies. Her role as an educator and advocate reflects a deep-seated commitment to empowering both patients and fellow healthcare professionals with the necessary tools and resources for optimal care delivery.
